Teaching as a Profession:

The Teaching as a Profession program is intended for the high school student who is interested in pursuing a career as a teacher. Teaching typically requires a four-year college degree from an accredited university that leads to appropriate teacher certification.

There is currently no technical college certificate available in connection with this high school career pathway.

Study in this concentration leads to completion of the Teaching as a Profession Career Pathway on the high school level. The student will earn 3 hours university credit/fulfillment of EDUC2110 and 25 field hours needed as part of the University-prescribed course of study at Georgia Southern University.
